Built in 1976, the Clayton R. Brower Student Center has been the hub of life at The College of New Jersey for nearly 40 years. Throughout that time, this facility has hosted student events, faculty lectures, and very recently the Special Olympics USA Games. While we are proud of all we have accomplished in this facility, the College recognizes the necessity for this building to be updated so we can support the learning needs for our current and future students.
In 2011, the College began exploring the possibilities for a renovated Brower Student Center. This work, resulting in the hiring of KSS Architects in 2013, has led to a newly envisioned Brower Student Center that incorporates many improvements to the physical space and technological needs of our students. Our intention is that this design will promote community building among all members of the TCNJ family as well as support a learning environment.
In early 2015 Dobco, Inc. was selected as the contractor for this project. The renovation will begin in March 2015 with an expected completion date of July 2017.
